    Firstly let me say that the print quality on this machine is fantastic.On initial inspection it appears to be well made, but within days I started to experience problems.While packing the machine for return I noticed that the resin supplied with the machine had expired the week before I ordered the printer, leading me to believe that this machine was probably old stock.I am hoping that the problems I’ve experienced are not typical as I intend to re-order another.UPDATE.I’ve now had a chance to get to grips with the replacement printer and I stand by my original assessment that Anycubic have QA problems.1. The UV cooling fan sounds like it was taken from a 20 year old PC.2. (And this is the big one) the ball bearing mechanism for holding the print platform level isn’t holding on every print.Having dismantled the print platform I now think that this is likely to be the cause of the majority of print failures in this model.The ball bearing is loose in the casing which has two effects; firstly it allows the platform to slip off the set level orientation, and when tightening the levelling grub screw it forces the ball bearing (and hence the whole platform) down, effectively messing up the level settings.It’s worth noting that the Photon S appears to have been replaced by a new SE model. From the photos I’ve seen it looks like Anycubic have changed the levelling mechanism.

    Never had a 3D printer before but my wife somehow convinced me to buy one as we can print different types of figures for our kid so he can play with it.Well, i’ve said let’s have a go, and to be fair, i’m quite excited by this new printing experience. For me was kind of fantasy looking at it the way it prints. I guess if my grandma would see it she would definitely be shocked.As i’m new to it i aas little bit struggling with software and to set up, but it’s not that hard as i was thinking. Instruction manual and online resources directed me properly.Overall it prints pretty accurate figures and objects. I do like it and keep doing different experiments with it.Expensive piece of kit to be honest but i do enjoy it

    My first 3d printer and I love it.Easy to use, great results and pretty quiet.I have it in the same room as me most of the day and the smell isn’t too bad either.I’d recommend downloading an alternative slicing software than the one that comes with it (Chitubox is the best I found for free).

    The printer hardware itself is amazing for the price but it is bound to Anycubics proprietary software which is so hit and miss that it mode the printer unusable (this has been widely reported by reviewers and other users)If you are using this as a hobby and you like to tinker and fault find then this is great but if you are using this professionally then you would be better going for a different brand that can use a more standardized program like Chitubox
